| Q |
What
is the HP-1 Reinforced Restoration System?
|
| A |
The Acrymax
HP-1 Reinforced Restoration System is a fluid applied fully reinforced
membrane system for weatherproofing existing terne metal or "tin"
roofs and other acceptable smooth-surfaced substrates. Combining
multiple coats of Acrymax Elastomeric Coatings with high strength
polyester reinforcement the HP-1 system cures to a durable, weatherproof,
fully reinforced, and fully adhered elastomeric membrane with
superior durability and weatherability. |
| Q |
When
is the HP-1 System used? |
| A |
The HP-1
System should be used when the roof to be covered is in poor condition
and has widespread leaks. This system provides a primary reinforced
membrane system over the entire existing roof substrate. The HP-1
System should be considered on tin roofs when the roof has been
heavily coated with asphalt based materials. This system should
also be used on existing asphalt built-up roofs, plywood roof
decks, gutters, and other areas where a primary membrane is required. |
| Q |
What
is the HP-2 Restoration System? |
| A |
The Acrymax
HP-2 Restoration System is a fluid applied partially reinforced
membrane system for weatherproofing existing terne metal or "tin"
roofs. This system is used on roofs that do not require complete
reinforcement. The HP-2 System combines multiple coats of Acrymax
Coatings with high strength polyester reinforcement at critical
areas such as seams, flashings providing a 45 mil reinforced membrane
at these problem areas. The entire roof is then coated with 2
or 3 coats of Acrymax to provide 15 mils (2 coats) to 25 mils
(3 coats) of flexible high performance weatherproof protection
to the balance of the roof area. |
| Q |
When
is the HP-2 System used? |
| A |
The HP-2
System is used when the roof is generally in fair to good condition
and is only leaking at seams, flashings, valleys, built-in gutters
and other transitional areas. Existing coatings must be properly
prepared with all loose materials removed prior to application
of the HP-2 System. |
| Q |
What
is the HP-3 Preservation System? |
| A |
The Acrymax
HP-3 Preservation System is a protective elastomeric coating system
for use on terne metal or "tin" roofs and other acceptable smooth-surfaced
substrates. Applied in a minimum of 2 coats the HP-3 System is
designed to provide protection against the damaging effects of
the weather. This system provides a barrier against Ultraviolet
light and the elements and will extend the life of the roof to
which it is applied. |
| Q |
When
is the HP-3 System used? |
|
A
|
The HP-3 System is
used on roofs that are in good to excellent condition or on new
surfaces. It provides protection to the roof and works to preserve
the roof and extend its life. |
